It’s time to get vaccinated!
The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older get their yearly flu vaccine as soon as they become available. Pregnant women are also advised to get the flu shot.

Influenza (the flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. Approximately 5-20% of U.S. residents get the flu each year. Flu season typically starts in the fall and peaks in January or February. Illness from seasonal flu usually last one to two weeks. Getting the flu vaccine is your best protection against the flu.

The 2015-2016 flu vaccine is designed to protect you against the influenza viruses that research tells us are the most likely to spread and cause illness. Facey Medical Group if offering a four component (quadrivalent) formulation of the influenza vaccine. This formulation will protect you against an Influenza A H1N1-like virus, Influenza A H3N2-like virus as well as two influenza B viruses (Yamagata and Victoria lineages).

This upcoming flu season, Facey will provide flu vaccines to our patients at each of our locations. Each site will have a schedule for walk-in flu shots. The vaccine will also be available for patients who have scheduled a visit with their primary care physician or OB/GYN, at the offices listed below.

Our walk-in flu clinics will run through December.
