Bariatric surgery provides an opportunity to improve your health and change your life. It is a tool designed to give you control over your dietary and lifestyle changes and help you lose and keep weight off.

This 6-month medically-supervised program is taught by a Registered Dietitian and a Wellness Educator to provide you the tools you will need leading up to and after your surgery. You’ll learn about:

  • surgery types, risks and benefits
  • emotional eating, stress and behavioral changes
  • modifying your food choices, nutrients and supplementation
  • Increasing your physical activity
  • maintaining weight loss
  • Taking care of your body and mind


If you are a candidate for weight loss surgery, please speak with your Facey physician about screening and obtaining a referral for this program. You will then join a Monday or Wednesday evening cohort which starts every 6 months.

Completion of this program is required before surgery can be scheduled.
