You can contact your physician's office for same day or future appointments. Phone lines open at 8:00 AM, but most physicians will not be in until 8:30 AM.
We will make every effort to see you as soon as you request. However, during winter season, same day appointments fill up quickly so call first thing in the morning. Also, during summer months, please try to schedule physicals early in the summer, as there is high demand for these appointments during this time. [ close]
Choosing a pediatrician for your child can be a difficult decision. We encourage you to speak with family and friends regarding recommendations. However, we feel confident you will get the same excellent care from any Facey provider you choose.
If you are expecting to deliver in the next 3 months, it is recommended you choose a pediatrician now to ensure a smooth transition from your obstetrician to your pediatrician. Most providers do not do "parent interviews" prior to the delivery. However, please contact the office of the provider you would like to meet so they can let you know their preference.

Office Hours and Communicating with your Provider
Your Pediatrician's office will be open 8:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday and closed weekends.* All questions you have for your Pediatrician will be taken by office staff and forwarded to your provider. Your physician will respond to your question as soon as possible, but it may not be until the end of the day. If it is an urgent call, please notify the staff of the urgency.

On Call Physician:
A Facey pediatrician will be available after hours, from 5:30 pm - 8:00 am for questions. We encourage non-emergency questions be directed to your child's regular pediatrician. On weekends, an RN will answer phone questions from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, after which the pediatrician will take calls.
Urgent Care:
Urgent Care is available for urgent appointments for all Facey patients. However, we strongly encourage making appointment with your regular pediatrician, particularly since he or she will know your child's medical history best. If you are not sure whether your child can wait for the pediatrician, you can call the on-call physician to discuss your child's health. |

There are 3 urgent care facilities available for our patients. Med Center in Simi Valley has after hours family practice physicians available for your familiy members. Facey's own locations in Mission Hills and Valencia have a pediatric and family practice physicians available, at all times.

Rx Refills
You can obtain a refill by requesting it through your pharmacy. If there has not been an approved prior refill, then contact your physician. You can also obtain refill by contacting your physician's office. Please allow 48 hours for refills. For ADHD medication refills, please request it at least one week before your child runs out of medication.
Forms:
There is a ten-dollar fee to complete physical, camp and sports forms. Please give your physician 48 hours to complete the paperwork. Your child needs to have a physical within the last year for the form to be filled out so please schedule an annual physical exam if needed. You can drop off the form at the office or fax it. If you fax your form to us, please call us to confirm we have received the form.
Hospital Affiliations:
In our efforts to provide continuity of care for your child, Facey maintains staff at Henry Mayo, Holy Cross, San Gabriel's Valley Medical Center, Simi Valley Hospital and Methodist Hospitals, as well as Northridge Hospital where we also provide a pediatric hospitalist, who personally tends to all pediatric admission.
