Los Angeles County is beginning to schedule the administration of the COVID vaccine to adults over the age of 65. Due to the evolving nature of vaccine supplies, we ask that you please do not contact your Facey doctor's office at this time about vaccine availability. Learn more.
This page will have the most up-to-date information for Facey patients and providers regarding vaccine availability at our offices. We do not offer walk-in vaccinations at any Facey locations.
Currently, we only have a supply of the Moderna vaccine. In accordance with the guidelines issued by Los Angeles County, Facey has offered the Moderna vaccine to all of our patients who are age 65 and older. This is the only eligible group we are currently vaccinating. If you are a Facey patient age 65 or older, you should have received a phone call, text message or MyChart message inviting you to be vaccinated. If you have not received an invitation to schedule or were unable to respond when we reached out, please call 818-869-7160 to schedule your first appointment for the Moderna vaccine. You can also self-schedule your vaccination in MyChart at any time.
If you are a Facey patient over 65 and received your first shot of the Moderna vaccine at another vaccination site, you are welcome to call Facey and schedule your second Moderna vaccination with us.
We are not vaccinating anyone under the age of 65 at this time due to our limited vaccine allotment. If you are age 64 or under and eligible to be vaccinated, visit VaccinateLACounty.com to schedule your vaccination or call 833-540-0473 between 8 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Not sure if you're eligible yet? Visit MyTurn.ca.gov to find out and be notified when you can schedule your vaccination.
All Facey offices are operating at a reduced schedule of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. More than anything we want you to feel safe and comfortable when you're seeing your Facey care team. We've made updates to our clinic operations and the way we serve you to help keep everyone healthy. Some of our new safeguards include:
Pediatrics extended hours are temporarily discontinued effective January 25, 2021. Facey clinics providing pediatric services will only offer in-person appointments for "well child" visits and non-fever/respiratory issues.
Mission Hills Immediate Care and Valencia Immediate Care are operating normally and each location has a separate, secure screening area for patients who arrive with a fever or COVID-19 symptoms. They are open 365 days a year from 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, and 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Online sign-in to "reserve your spot" has resumed. After registering, patients may wait in their cars and will be texted/called to come in when an exam room is available. Please see below for details on coronavirus test availability.
Facey Vision Centers are open from 8 a.m. – 5p.m. Advance appointments are required for new eyewear orders at our optical shops.
In order to protect the health of our communities, and as a safety precaution to prevent the risk of spreading COVID-19, we have instituted visitor restrictions in accordance with recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Anyone wishing to enter a Facey facility must:
We understand the importance of having access to your loved ones when you visit us, however, for everyone’s safety we are asking that no visitor accompany you during your visit with your provider.
Patients requiring assistance: When supportive assistance is needed, we will allow one visitor per patient if the visitor has passed our screening questions/fever check.
Pediatric patients: One parent or adult per child being seen will be allowed in the visit as long as they have passed our screening questions and fever check. Siblings or other children will not be allowed unless they also have an appointment. Both parents/partners will be allowed to attend the newborn and two-week wellness visits.
Maternity patients: One adult (spouse, birthing partner, relative) will be allowed in the visit as long as they have passed our screening questions and fever check.
The vast majority of COVID-19 patients will have mild symptoms and will not become seriously ill. Available testing supplies remain limited and therefore, we are unable to test asymptomatic patients at this time. We currently must limit testing to Facey patients with more serious symptoms where a test result may have value to supportive care and/or patients whose Facey physician has ordered testing.
If you believe you were exposed to the coronavirus and you are asymptomatic, you may be able to obtain an at-home test from LabCorp. Learn more here.
If you have cough, fever, or other respiratory symptoms, please contact your Facey physician’s office by phone or through MyChart to discuss your symptoms and determine if an in-person evaluation is necessary. For everyone else, we recommend that you follow the steps we have outlined to lower your risk of infection.
