On behalf of the entire team at Facey, we'd like to take a moment to say thank you again for your support and show of community during these last few months. 2020 has been unlike anything we've ever experienced and we are making daily adjustments so we can continue to provide care in a safe manner. Part of that has meant serving you in new ways, whether that's online or in person. We want to continue to bring you the service and convenience you need, even if it may look a little different than it has in the past.

We can’t emphasize this message enough— your health, and the health of our entire care team, are our biggest priority right now. Every decision we make is grounded in this. We see it reflected in our core values of compassion, dignity, justice, excellence and integrity. And so we want to assure you that the steps we're taking to restore services at our clinics are thoughtful. We're creating a caring environment that's safe for everyone through a phased approach that ensures access to your Facey care team when you need us.

Changes to Hours of Operation and Services

All Facey offices are operating at a reduced schedule of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. As we restore services at our offices, more than anything we want you to feel safe and comfortable when you're seeing your Facey care team. We're making updates to our clinic operations and the way we serve you to help keep everyone healthy. Some of our new safeguards include:

  • Conducting health screenings for our employees and providers
  • Providing face coverings for employees and patients
  • Limiting in-person clinic visits to patients who need them most and providing video and telephone-based care to all
  • A gradual restoration of elective, preventive and walk-in care services
  • Expanding online scheduling at Facey.com to include most of our specialist physicians
  • Introducing online check-in for all in-person appointments
  • Taking steps to allow for physical distancing of six feet or more, including limiting the number of employees and patients in waiting areas
  • Allowing patients to wait in their car instead of the waiting room if they desire
  • Increasing cleaning and sanitization of common areas and touch points in our clinics
  • Providing care for patients with respiratory or suspected COVID-19 infection in a separate, secure area
  • Offering priority access times to seniors for lab services at most locations
  • Potentially extending our hours of operation with initial focus on virtual video visits

Mission Hills Immediate Care and Valencia Immediate Care are operating normally and each location has a separate, secure screening area for patients who arrive with a fever or COVID-19 symptoms. They are open 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, and 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

Facey clinics providing in-person pediatric services will only offer appointments for "well child" visits and non-fever/respiratory issues.

Facey Vision Center – Canyon Country is open for ophthalmology services only at this time. We expect to open for eyewear & optometry services within the next two weeks.
Facey Vision Center – Mission Hills is open from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. for existing order pickups only. Ophthalmology services are available from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Visitor Restrictions

In order to protect the health of our communities, and as a safety precaution to prevent the risk of spreading COVID-19, we have instituted visitor restrictions in accordance with recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Governor of California. We understand the importance of having access to your loved ones when you visit us, however, for everyone’s safety we are asking that no visitor accompany you during your visit with your provider. Should you need assistance with your visit, we can provide that assistance, or in some special cases where supportive assistance is required, allow you a maximum of 1 visitor per patient if the visitor has passed our screening questions/fever check.

For pediatric patients, one parent or adult will be allowed in the visit as long as they have passed our screening questions and fever check.

COVID-19 Testing

The vast majority of COVID-19 patients will have mild symptoms and will not become seriously ill. Therefore, we currently must limit testing to Facey patients with more serious symptoms where a test result may have value to supportive care. More testing will be available at our clinics in the near future but still may not be widely given to all who request testing.

If you have cough, fever, or other respiratory symptoms, please contact your Facey physician’s office by phone or through MyChart to discuss your symptoms and determine if an in-person evaluation is necessary. For everyone else, we recommend that you follow the steps we have outlined to lower your risk of infection and avoid efforts to obtain testing at this time.
