Changes to Hours of Operation and Services
All Facey offices are operating at a reduced schedule of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. More than anything we want you to feel safe and comfortable when you're seeing your Facey care team. We've made updates to our clinic operations and the way we serve you to help keep everyone healthy. Some of our new safeguards include:
- Conducting health screenings for our employees and providers
- Providing face coverings for employees and patients
- Requiring approved face coverings at all times inside our offices
- Limiting in-person clinic visits to patients who need them most and providing video and telephone-based care to all
- Expanding online scheduling at Facey.com to include most of our specialist physicians
- Introducing online check-in for all in-person appointments
- Taking steps to allow for physical distancing of six feet or more, including limiting the number of employees and patients in waiting areas
- Allowing patients to wait in their car instead of the waiting room if they desire
- Increasing cleaning and sanitization of common areas and touch points in our clinics
- Providing care for patients with respiratory or suspected COVID-19 infection in a separate, secure area
- Offering priority access times to seniors for lab services at most locations
- Extended hours for adult primary care telehealth video visits from 5 – 8 p.m., Monday – Thursday
Pediatrics extended hours are temporarily discontinued effective January 25, 2021. Facey clinics providing pediatric services will only offer in-person appointments for "well child" visits and non-fever/respiratory issues.
Mission Hills Immediate Care and Valencia Immediate Care are operating normally and each location has a separate, secure screening area for patients who arrive with a fever or COVID-19 symptoms. They are open 365 days a year from 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, and 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Online sign-in to "reserve your spot" has resumed. After registering, patients may wait in their cars and will be texted/called to come in when an exam room is available. Please see below for details on coronavirus test availability.
Facey Vision Centers are open from 8 a.m. – 5p.m. Advance appointments are required for new eyewear orders at our optical shops.
Visitor Restrictions
In order to protect the health of our communities, and as a safety precaution to prevent the risk of spreading COVID-19, we have instituted visitor restrictions in accordance with recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Anyone wishing to enter a Facey facility must:
- wear an approved face covering during their entire visit
- pass screening questions and a fever check
We understand the importance of having access to your loved ones when you visit us, For everyone’s safety we are limiting visitors to one (1) per patient during your appointment with your provider.
EXCEPTIONS
Pediatric patients: One set of parents/guardians will be allowed to attend all pediatric visits.
Pediatric siblings and children: Siblings or other children without an appointment will not be allowed. Exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis if parents/guardians do not have access to child care services.
COVID-19 Testing
The vast majority of COVID-19 patients will have mild symptoms and will not become seriously ill. Available testing supplies remain limited and therefore, we are unable to test asymptomatic patients at this time. We currently must limit testing to Facey patients with more serious symptoms where a test result may have value to supportive care and/or patients whose Facey physician has ordered testing.
If you believe you were exposed to the coronavirus and you are asymptomatic, you may be able to obtain an at-home test from LabCorp. Learn more here.
If you have cough, fever, or other respiratory symptoms, please contact your Facey physician’s office by phone or through MyChart to discuss your symptoms and determine if an in-person evaluation is necessary. For everyone else, we recommend that you follow the steps we have outlined to lower your risk of infection.
